Travelers entering or exiting the UAE must declare any cash amounts and similar negotiable financial instruments, as well as precious metals and valuable stones, if they exceed the maximum allowed limit of AED 60,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
These cash amounts or other financial instruments must be declared through the disclosure system provided by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security, or through the smart app "Declare" available on Google Play and the Apple Store.
For travelers under the age of 18, the amounts they carry are added to those of an accompanying adult family member, provided that the total amount or financial products in their possession together does not exceed AED 60,000.
